At 17 minutes in with HIITS intervals, I decided I am going to push on to 30-minutes because I did 30-mins the other day (only without HIITS) so surely I can and SHOULD.
The words in these videos get me going. Doing anything short of my goal is to be a quitter. I want to succeed like these guys too, so I push on…. but I forget.
I forget my own body and what is right for me.
Two hours later I go DOWN with a migraine for three days, with only a few intervals where the tablets worked.
And here is what I learned. It is one thing to push yourself and go after a goal, but always do it while listening to yourself.
I know I get migraines from overheating when I exercise (though no doctor can figure out why). It’s a fact. It happens. As pumped up as I am, as much as I want to achieve my goals, as much as I want to run in the fast lane with the big boys, I need to trust myself and listen to what I know is right for me.
In business, it’s so easy to be taken along by other people and what you ‘should’ be doing, we forget to trust ourselves. And surely, that’s the most important thing?
