Because a butterfly can’t see it’s own wings.
It can be so hard to see how far we’ve come and how much we have grown when we keep ourselves so busy each day running from one thing to the next.
I know I do this myself all the time.
But you know what? It’s probably one of the most important things we can do. To stop, take stock, look in the mirror and acknowledge where we are and who we’ve become.
We may not have all the results we want today, but we are at least on our way. Building our business, coming out of employment and into self-employment/entrepreneurship is one of the hardest, riskiest things to do. And the learning curve is steep.
So when things don’t work out perfectly, or we miss an opportunity because we didn’t pitch our services well, or we messed up a sales call, or just took the day off to sleep and recalibrate – remember – you’ve come so much further than you will every be able to perceive.
Take a look in the mirror every now and then. Soak up client feedback, ask your friends for input. You’re doing great.
